Jes Pérez was born in Brooklyn New York but raised in Santiago, Dominican Republic. While attending Barbizon modeling school, Jes began auditioning and modeling for magazines and fashion shows. She got her first great success with a Sony Ericsson Walkman ad, and she was one of 20 finalists who competed in the reality show Model Latina on SiTV representing the city of New York.
Thereafter, in 2008, Jes began working as co-host on "Latinas on the Run", where her Dominican heritage skills in Spanishhad its advantages. Returning to the city of New York gave her the opportunity to continue her education, where she earned a degree in video arts and technology.
Jes has interned with MTV3, Telemundo Orlando, Telemundo NY, City Buzz, and Seventeen magazine, she says that "things do not happen overnight, you have to work hard, and most importantly you have to start from scratch." Jes Perez has been in music videos such as "Rotate" Nore with Busta Rhymes and Ron Browz, "Say Ah" TreySongz, and "In My Sleep" Joe Budden. She has also participated in several beauty contests like the Diva pageant, youth pageant of America, and Miss New York Latina. This beautiful Dominicana has been in Latina magazine, Hype Hair magazine, and EXO limited.
She was also elected as the first fresh face of urban clothing Dr.Jays in the spring of 2009! Currently Freelancing as a Correspondent for MundoUrbano.TV and for the Dominican Channel Super Channel 33. Jes has her own project titled "Industry High" a series of Vlogs that gives you instant access into the lives of most influential people. Without focusing on any "Industry", in particular, the purpose of "Industry High" is to give viewers the information they need and want from any race who are looking to pursue music, art, fashion, politics, law, or business, etc ...
There is no doubt that Jes Perez is a great representation of all Dominicans and of course for all Latinos.
